It was great taking a little breather for Thanksgiving. The day to day monotony of work and stress and daily life becomes wonderfully ameliorated (there’s a word…) simply by stepping back and relaxing. During this little exile, I became enchanted by songkick.com. The concept is simple, and yet oddly addicting: list out the concerts you were at or plan to go to.
I dug out an old rubber-banded stack of tickets and started entering ’em in. It’s amazing to see where you’ve been and, for me, how many shows I’ve gone to and totally forgotten. It’s also a neat tracker of your own musical taste. Sometimes you’re ahead of the popular curve. Other times you’re decidedly behind it.
See where you fit, and see where I’ve been. I’m on there as “feldscott,” and you can “track” me to see if we’re headin’ to the same shows. I’ll be adding more as the days go on, but you can at least see about 100 or so concerts I’ve attended.
Cool stuff. And they’re improving things every day…
