Lately, I’ve seen an increasing number of artists and musicians coming to me looking for help.  What’s fascinating is that they’re very quick to point fingers at everything around them.  Usually, fault lies within.  Here then, a list of things musicians shouldn’t forget.

It’s not having the idea, it’s being able to act on it.

Respect isn’t given, it’s earned.

Proximity is no substitute for expertise.

True winners never take victory laps.

Experience is always more memorable than description.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

Excuses matter infinitely less than results.

Over reliance upon others only demonstrates weakness within.

Online is not real life.
